We have been busy preparing the hotel for these changes and have implemented the following procedures in line with Government Guidelines and have been accredited by Visit England with the 'We're Good To Go' award for your peace of mind that we have all of the procedures in place to keep us all safe and enjoy a well earned holiday!


Strict requirement to wash hands prior to entry to the building. The handwash facilities are to the right of the reception entrance. Please make sure warm water and soap are used in line with the guidance for AT LEAST 20 SECONDS. Use the sanitisers throughout the building, especially after touching surface such as hand rails and door knobs.

2. Signage and markings to remind customers of social distancing requirements and sanitizing of hands.

3. Sanitizers available at multiple points throughout the hotel.

4. Increased availability of outdoor seating.

5. Doors to be propped open at all times where possible, to decrease touch and increase ventilation.

7. 'Your room is your own policy'. Guests with stays of 3 nights of less will be asked daily what housekeeping supplies they require to be delivered to the their room in a sealed bag to be outside the room door. Guests with stays of three nights or more can receive full housekeeping service after three days if they so desire.

8. Dining times and table allocation. Guests will be booked into the restaurant for breakfast and dinner at times by mutual arrangement to stagger busy periods, avoid queues and waiting times. You will also keep the same table for your stay.

9. For bar service, guests will receive table service ONLY. Guests will not be permitted to stand and order drinks at the bar.

10. Meals times are now required to be booked in advance and for bed and breakfast customers, dinner must be booked prior to arrival for the 1st nights stay and then inform us daily if you require a table. This is a government requirement to avoid prolonged contact, queues and busy periods. 

11. Tables will be set 2 metres apart and service where necessary will be delivered by waiting staff using PPE, trained to sanitize between each table service. Tables will not be set until just prior to seating of guest.

12. Dinner times have been changed to accommodate an earlier finish at 10pm in line with Government guidance to 6.30-
last orders 7.45pm

13. Hospital grade sanitizers are to be used throughout the hotel 'high touch' surfaces such as phones, tv controllers, kettles etc. All laundry is washed with a 70c cycle and pressed at 180c to kill any virus.Soft furnishings will be removed from bedrooms where possible.

14. Contactless check-in and check-out. Check-in will be a little different, still a friendly welcome but we are no longer permitted to accompany guests to their room to show them around. Your final statement will be emailed to you are processed via our system to avoid queues at reception.

15. Staff will receive daily health checks. 

16. May we remind you that you should not travel if you are experiencing any of the symptoms set out by the NHS, persistent cough, high temperature, loss of taste and smell etc. Stay home and self isolate for 14 days. Should this occur during your stay we are implementing the hygiene measures set out at for hospitality.

As any guests whom have stayed with us prior to Covid-19 would already know, we have extremely high standards of cleanliness at Trelawne. We are obviously supplementing this with stringent new procedures, no contact check-in or check-out, hospital grade PPE and cleaning products in accordance with the Government Guidance provided.
