WALKING CORNWALL
Walking Cornwall - Enchanting, magical, land of legend - these are a few of the descriptions of Cornwall which take on a new significance when walking the Cornish Coastal Footpath - situated less than ten minutes from the hotel.
Winding its way around the Lizard Peninsular with much of the coastline owned by the National Trust it is equally a walk in history in a part of the world that is full of romance and heritage.
Indeed, many say that the only way to see the Lizard properly is on foot and numerous books have been written about the exceptionally beautiful walks. Flat grassy paths wind along the high cliff tops from Mullion Cove with magnificent views out to sea; Kynance Cove with its cluster of islets of serpentine rock; the magical woods around the Helford, Trewarren and the Lizard Point itself.
The occasional derelict engine house perched precariously on a cliff edge; castle as old as time itself; mystical standing stones and lichened churches such as those at Zennor and Gunwalloe all contribute indelibly to a memorable experience.
It is a place where the sea meets the sky, where you can be one with nature. As dusk falls on the Lizard, you can experience some of the most spectacular sunsets on earth, comparable with anywhere else in the world.
