THE EDEN PROJECT

Already described as the ‘eighth wonder of the world’, the truly spectacular
Eden Project near St. Austell is a must for all visitors to Cornwall.

The
sixty metre deep crater is daily becoming home to thousands of important and
beautiful plants to provide a fantastic living theatre of plants and
conservation from across the world.

As part of the £74.3 million pound
project - covering an area the size of thirty football pitches - these huge
conservatories will also form a superb backdrop to a 2000-seat capacity outdoor
amphitheatre, together with a 250-seat restaurant with the atmosphere of an
exotic market, which will include alfresco dining facilities in a truly unique
landscape.

A fascinating visitor centre telling the story of Eden,
contains an interpretation hall, gallery and shop which will also sell local,
organic and fair trade produce whenever possible.
